Swirl PREP
Swirl PREP is a pre-procedural mouthrinse designed to reduce the viral load in the mouth prior to the commencement of treatment.
Swirl PREP is a 1% Hydrogen Peroxide mouthrinse recommended for use prior to the commencement of all dental procedures. The use of a 1% Hydrogen Peroxide mouthrinse helps reduce viral load in the mouth (including the virus that causes Covid-19), which in turn reduces the risk of aerosol transmission. It has been suggested that prior to commencing treatment patients should be asked to undertake a 20 -30 second pre-procedural mouthrinse with a 1 % Hydrogen Peroxide Mouthrinse.

Description
SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is primarily spread between people who are in close contact through respiratory droplets; these droplets (or aerosols) can be produced in a dental setting through various pieces of equipment. It is believed that a 1% Hydrogen Peroxide mouthrinse reduces the viral load in the mouth. Swirl PREP comes in convenient sized bottles for surgery benchtops as well as for at-home use by patients. Swirl PREP is also available in bulk 5L with dispensing pump for easy practice use when using as a pre-procedural mouthrinse.
